In this write up, I am going to share a sambal recipe
named sambal BongKot. This recipe is very much famous in Indonesia.

Sambal bongkot is one of a kind, typical home
cooking—as simple yet appetizing sambal that could definitely turn your world
upside down!

Ingredients
10-11 shallots, finely sliced
7-8 bird eye chilies, sliced*
2 bongkot finely sliced and chopped*
1 teaspoon toasted dried shrimp paste
6 tablespoons coconut oil/canola oil
salt to taste

Method:
Heat the oil medium fire, put some slices of shallot in hot oil, and fry until it just flaccid.

Put slices of chilly, mix and
quickly fry and then add bongkot, fry for next few seconds.
Turn off the fire, fling in toasted
dried shrimp paste and add taste by adding some salt. mix all of the ingredients
until they completely get mixed.
Your sambal is ready to serve with
your favourite seafood or with another fried food.

note:
- You can garnish it with sliced ginger pieces.
- You can always fiddle with the ingredients as you desire,
- Don’t store it for long as it turns dark quickly. Serve hot and fresh.
